Body Image



We are still growing, all of our bodies are developing. Feelings of insecurity are common, but we must accept our home no matter what.



As teens, young adults, and adults, we are constantly bombarded by media images and what society values in terms of appearance. We have self-critical thoughts from time to time, we are molded by both positive and negative arrangement of our pasts.



Our goal is to show you how you can accept yourself.
You are very deserving of our congratulations. It is not easy to go through this process, but at the end it is a significant achievement.

Self-acceptance is a personal journey, these are just some tips. Everyone's journey is different! Do not rush it, have patience with yourself.



Wear things that make you feel great



Discover your style, learn more about yourself. What things make you feel confident? What doesn't?


Find what brings out your personality, and be unique!



Distance yourself from social media



It is impossible to accept yourself and the body you have if you live on social media, you are compelled to compare yourself to others.


Take a social media break and dedicate time for yourself. Do things you love and do things that are good for you!


Some things you can do during your break:
- Journal

- Exercise

- Read

- Plan new things

- Try a new look

- Bake

- Try new healthy recipes

- Meditate



Acknowledgment



Taking note of your strengths and positive attributes about yourself raises your self-esteem and appreciates you for who you are.


For example:


You are a strong and loving person.


You try your best every day.


You persevere.


IMPROVEMENT


Always aim for improving yourself in a positive way, do not change yourself for the likes of others. Focus on what you want to improve about yourself so that it can help you in the future.


For example:
I may not excel in writing, but I excel in reading.


I will practice my writing skills so that way I can write better stories in the future.



Get rid of toxic people



Negative people make it difficult for you to accept yourself. The best thing you can do for yourself is to get rid of them.


It may hurt you or make the other person feel bad, but your self-worth is more important. By distancing yourself from toxic people in your life, you will prosper.


If your friends do more harm than good, it is best to distance yourself from them.



Keep trying. keep doing.
