How people see you

It's the age-old saying that goes, "that person will not remember you in 5 years!" That is truly the case here. We occasionally feel as if we are being judged by those around us.

Remember, no one will remember what you said, did, or wore at the end of the day. Only you!

We frequently cringe at things we did or said in the past and worry about how others perceive us as a result. The truth is that no one pays attention to those things except you.

It may feel like the end of the world, but you must learn to go about your business.

Quick story:

Earlier this year I slipped and fell while it was raining, it was a terrible fall. My former self would have cringed and freaked out, but I got back up and went about my day, not paying attention to what the gossipers were saying and mocking about me.

A lot of your favorite celebrities and influencers take a tumble sometimes, its no big deal (unless you get seriously injured of course). But keep in mind that it is not fun when people laugh at you or mock you; what matters is learning how to pick yourself up again.

Do not center who you are as a person based off how other people see you. These people often forget about you, and it will not matter at all.

We sometimes wonder what someone is thinking about us when they stare at us. Humans, by nature, stare at one another. This does not imply that you are imperfect in any way. We all stare at each other; it's strange, but it's how we are. Remember to always speak up if someone is making you uncomfortable.

Opinions

Everyone will form an opinion about you; we do it all the time to one another. It is important to note that their opinions are completely irrelevant.

You are the facilitator of your own life, and your opinion is the only one that truly matters, besides close people to you and family.

If you continue to receive unwanted negative attention, online harassment, or bullying, please notify a trusted adult, parent/guardian, or school staff. They will be more than happy to help you with it.

Ways to cope:

If you detected that your feelings are negative, here are a few ways you
can help yourself cope!

Write something

You can write a letter to your future self, a friend, a family member, or a teacher!
